OUGD504 | STUDIO BRIEF 2 | CONSIDERATIONS

To create a suitable, usable logo, there are some things that need to be taken into account.

As this is a live brief, talking to the client and making sure they're happy with what you're creating is extremely important. You need to know whether you're going in the right direction or not, so keeping up communication with them is something that should be done regularly.

The audience need to be able to connect with the logo. If the new logo is replacing an existing one, the customers need to feel like the brand still has their same core values.

The logo should also work on many different platforms and in different sizes. If the logo cannot be transferred to different contexts, e.g. a work uniform or shop window sign, it is not an effective logo.

The timescale and budget need to be agreed on with the client, so that everyone is clear on what they need to do, and what they are receiving. Keeping up communication with the client helps with this.
