I tried applying UV paint that was purchased over the internet, but it wasn't strong enough to be seen over the print. Instead, I used a UV Pen to apply the ink. This made the UV area slightly less detailed but the UV layer is visible.
The designs represent the icecaps melting, air pollution and an oil spill in the sea.
Although the designs aren't as clear as I would like them to be, I'm pleased I managed to have them finished in time and ready for the exhibition. I'm quite disappointed by the UV layer, as it was meant to be quite detailed and represent a huge issue that affects the world. I feel I was quite ambitious with this concept, and due to poor time management, lack of skills and appropriate tools it hasn't been as successful as I had hoped.
